Levi Strauss founded the company in 1853. Emigrating from Bavaria to San Francisco during the Gold Rush, Strauss created the first pair of Levi’s jeans by adding rivets to pants. The brand has since become synonymous with classic American style. With stores in more than 100 countries around the globe, the company has expanded extensively since their inception. Levi’s is also dedicated to sustainable production practices, implementing initiatives to reduce water use in the manufacturing process.
